VVS

Experiential brand design

VVS is a ready-to-drink margarita brand built for people who would rather be outside than in line at a bar. As a new entrant in a category dominated by legacy labels and lookalike cans, VVS needed to show up in the real world with enough attitude to be remembered after one glance, in the middle of a crowd, at a distance, usually mid-conversation.

Role & mandate

We act as the experiential design partner: key visuals → poster and print series → on-site activation dressing → event environment. Day-to-day we work directly with the founders to translate a bold, unapologetic brand into physical moments people actually walk into.

Challenge

Street-level attention is unforgiving. An activation competes with music, food, weather, and everyone’s phone. The work had to land instantly, hold up printed large and outdoors, and feel unmistakably VVS rather than generically summer-beverage.

Strategy

Design for distance first, detail second. Loud type, high contrast, and a visual language with enough edge to feel like it belongs to the culture it is showing up in, not to a marketing calendar. Every piece built to work as a photograph, because the reach of an activation is mostly what people post afterward.

System & creative

  • Key visuals: a bold, high-impact poster series designed to read from across a street and survive being reproduced at every size.
  • Activation dressing: on-site displays and environmental pieces that turn a footprint into a branded space rather than a booth.
  • Event identity: cohesive treatment across signage, print, and physical touchpoints so the whole thing reads as one moment.

Saint-Jean-Baptiste activation

For Quebec’s national holiday, VVS took over a street-level activation with DJs, free hot dogs, and cold margaritas. We designed the visual environment: posters, on-site displays, and the branded dressing that made the space feel like an event rather than a sampling table. The brief was simple. Make people stop, make them stay, make it look good in every photo taken that day.

Outcome

A physical brand presence with a distinct point of view in a crowded category, built to be photographed, shared, and recognized the next time it appears. (Our remit was the experiential and visual layer of the activation.)
